The 24th IFFK, which extends from 6th-13th December 2019, was officially inaugurated by Kerala CM Sri Pinarayi Vijayan, yesterday in Nishagandhi Auditorium, Trivandrum. The film “Passed by Censor” directed in multi languages, by Serhat Karaslaan, was played in Nishagandhi, as beginning to the series of world-wide films scheduled for the fest. More than 10 stages/screens have been set for the film festival and the whole event is conducted by the Kerala Film Academy.

Film Fest. Office and delegate cell have been set up in the Tagore theatre with separate counters for any technical or other supports. Safety measures for children, old aged and differently-abled have also been arranged by the organisers. 186 Films from 73 countries are set to rule the screen and entertain the film lovers in this year’s fest.
Today, the second day of the Fest has 64 films scheduled through out the day. 18 among the days schedule are first timers in Indian screens, while the films “Before oblivion” directed by Iria Gomez Concheiro, “Unintended” directed by Anja Marmann are in for the first time show around the world.
“Fever” directed by Santhosh Mandoor, “Verdict” directed by Raymond Ribay Gutierrez, “The Journey” directed by Fernando E. Solanas, “Don’t Cry” directed by Amir Karakulov, “Pacarrete” directed by Allan Deberton etc are among the list of movies for the day.
