Xiaomi, the Chinese smartphone manufacturing company becomes the youngest company on the FORTUNE GLOBAL 500 LIST for the year 2019, with a rank – 468. Xiaomi has a revenue of $26,443.50 million and a net profit of $2049.10 million.
Started as an internet company with smart phones and smart hardware connected by Internet of things as its core, in the year 2010, Xiaomi has also been named in the FORTUNE CHINA 500 List for the first time in 9 years rune in June, and has been placed in 53rd rank.
This company has become worlds 4th smart phone brand in terms of shipment sales volume, registering year on year growth of 32.3%. Company has also invested in over 200 eco system companies, most of which are smart hardware development based and specialized, and thus Xiaomi has built world’s largest consumer, IoT platform. Excluding smartphones and laptops, the company IoT device count exceeds 171 million, as per March 2019.
The firm is also investing 10 billion reniminbi in all of AIoT development in next 5 years as part of its “smart phone +AIoT” dual-core strategy.
One among company’s main future plans, is to replicate the success by enhancing and adjusting its business strategies outside China.
