Decemnber 6, 2019, the day started off with an atmosphere of concern and increased pressure. With just one day left for the subsidiary bodies to finish various works, delegates worked overtime on wide range of topics

Many rooms held “informal informals” to ring more frank conversations and to solve disagreements. The topic mainly included Article 6, gender and adoption fund among various others. Negotiators asked for a longer time on issues, notably for damage and long-term global goals.
Meeting was held in response to call from African group, on global goal on adaptation, to put global goal on agenda.
Many developing countries stressed to the point on equal importance of goal of adaptation and global temperature goals.
The developed countries noted the ongoing work on adaptation elsewhere on the agenda, and the potential of work in making progress towards the global goal.
COP Presidency held an informal meeting with the ministers to draw attention on temperature goal and to discuss the ambition of national determined contribution (NDCs). Chile highlighted the climate Ambiance Alliance. UK announced that they would submit an enhanced NDC early next year. EU spoke about its green deals.
Four events on water, industry, ocean and coastal zones and land were held by Marrakech partnership, for global climate action. Speakers throughout the event, shared insights and provoked ideas on how partnership among countries can help achieve a below 1.5°C world. The point “Science is not negotiable” was stressed by many during the event.
