The World Women News Spent time with delivery boys and girls to find out the reasons for joining these food delivery chain jobs, earning patterns, their experience of good and bad on their journey, the level of commitment in their assignments and more. Majority of the youth involved in such activities represent Engineering students, part-time employees, job seekers, job hoppers, of the age group 20-25years. An year ago, they earned Rs1750-2000/- Per day, enjoying the freedom to ride which is an added advantage than any permanent white collar job far beyond in IT Parks. Extra fuel allowances perks the benefits and the most highlighted is the friends network they frame with the peers. At times the warm welcome by the customers, a glass of water on a very oven warm noon hours, or a word to call them in offering a seat by the time to pay the bill or a pie during a celebration all are great joy of recognitions.

“I love this job of Food delivery and I will continue doing it even I set a full time employment says, Mr.Ajay”. A few of them value it more than money, as it’s a passion, they incarnate the role of “Annadatha” who deliver food to quench the hunger and excel than the food maker.
Such easy go earning systems gradually creates a cohesive mind-set leaving the youth with a known ambitious, less responsible and minimally committed with familial and social bondages.
