Ignoring warnings from President Donald Trump and the imposition of economic sanctions, Turkey’s leader has recently defended his attack on Kurdish allies of America on northern Syria. He also asserted that he will move forward with his attacks until his Government’s “objectives have been achieved.” In Turkey, the Kurdish militias who helped the U.S. defeat ISIS in Syria are considered to be terrorists. For a long time Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan wanted to push them back to the Syrian territory.

Even though there is a huge pressure on Erdogan to stop the violence, he seems to be strengthening his forces to take the land before advancing Syrian regime forces arrive to retake key Kurdish cities.

About 1,000 of American forces who were operating for years in northern Syria have left the pictures on the orders of Mr.Trump. This troops who are retreating might get caught in between Turkish army and its allies pushing south and the forces of Syrian dictator Bashar Assad as they push north. U.S. officials stated that they intend to evacuate all the troops out of northern Syria within a month. This quick exit of America has suddenly changed the the landscape of northern Syria.

A Russian journalist who works for Russia’s state-run press posted a video, “I’m now at the American base. Let’s see how they’re living” from inside abandoned U.S. base in Manbij, right on the western edge of the Kurdish territory. He also posted a video of him operating a steel barrier meant to thwart suicide truck bombs. There was no Russian or Assad’s forces on the base.

On CBS News, Kurdish commanders said that, some of the American troops requested for their help to keep the advancing Syrian regime forces out of the area until they’re able to evacuate.
