Rare Interstellar Comet has been found after 2 years

“2I/Borisov” :

The discovery of yet another interstellar comet has left astronomers awestruck on Tuesday. The comet is named “2I/Borisov”. The researchers have zero idea about the origins of this comet.

The comet was discovered by an amateur astronomer from Ukraine named Gennady Borisov from MARGO observatory, in Crimea, using the telescope he build himself. The first name he gave the comet was it C/2019 Q4.

Astronomers all over the world confirmed this and reported that it has an extremely hyperbolic orbit. It is moving too fast to orbit the sun and
visible short tail and “fuzzy” appearance —confirming its origin as interstellar.  Astronomers at the University of Hawaii estimate it to be between 1.2 and 10 miles away and it will be closest to the sun on December 7. The comet seems to be travelling towards Earth for there is no chance of colliding with Earth, since it won’t get any closer than 190 million miles, according to NASA’s JPL.

Narration about the Comet:

Farnocchia quoted that “The object will peak in brightness in mid-December and continue to be observable with moderate-size telescopes until April 2020,” he also said that “After that, it will only be observable with larger professional telescopes through October 2020.”

At the time of discovery of first ever interstellar object 1I/’Oumuamua astronomers weren’t given enough time to analyze or study it back in 2017. Now both amateur as well as professional astronomers all around the world is anxiously waiting for it’s arrival before it escapes into the depths of space.
