US Food and Drug Administration approved the oral drug for multiple sclerosis, discovered by Biogen Inc and in partner with Alkermes. Their drug Verumity was acknowledged to treat reverting forms of multiple sclerosis.
Multiple sclerosis is a potentially disabling disease that harms the central nervous system leading to fatigue, pain, vision loss and impaired coordination. It disrupts the flow of information within the brain ,and between the brain and body.
Biogen also sells a drug named Tecfidera for the treatment of multiple sclerosis. The company announced that the drug would soon be available in United States for the treatment.
