Listen to your body, Plan your exercise
Do you think that physical exercise has any effect on the mental stress that a company employee deals with?
Physical exercise improves the mental health of an employee, makes them resilient to stress. Quick thinking and decision making are the bi-products of a stress-free office, which in turn always increases the productivity.
What benefit can a person gain from an added routine of daily exercise in life?
Regular exercise reduces the baseline level of stress hormones and also blunts the psychological stress. Exercise increases the production of endorphins which are hormones related to positive thinking. The benefit of doing exercise is that you gain muscle mass with weight loss. It improves the quality of sleep, relaxes you and thus increases your energy level.
Which section of the day would you suggest to be the best for exercise, and why?

You can enjoy exercise at any time of the day. I prefer to have a morning workout. I start my day with a bottle of water and something to eat. If your schedule doesn’t allow a morning workout, go for an evening workout, which is a great way to reduce your stress level and enjoy a quality sleep. I am not a great fan of afternoon exercise or in between office hours as most offices doesn’t permit that and there are only few offices having good shower facilities.
Does exercise have any ill-effect on a person?
If you weigh the ill effects of exercise to its pros, it is very little. Be careful and avoid over doing yourself, listen to your body, plan your exercise very gradually and do not miss to consult a physician before starting you routine. During the program, avoid junks and over eating, have adequate water and have good quality sleep.
How long has it been since you have started your exercise pattern and how much has this lifestyle helped you in your life?
I’ve been into regular exercise for more than ten years now and recently I started road running and dream of completing a marathon under a recent time.
Is there any tip or workout plan which you would like to suggest, for a balanced healthy life?
For a beginner, I would recommend that you go totally slow, consult a doctor or physician before you start your program. Now, if you are fit enough, try twenty to thirty minutes of brisk walk, target for covering a kilometer under ten to fifteen minutes, in two to three months, if you are confident enough, and stretch that to forty-forty five minutes. As you go ahead, you can add a little jogging into it, say that you walk for two minutes and add one minute of jogging into it. Never overdo things and never stress yourself.
What was the inspiration behind adding exercise into your life?

My father inspired me to have a healthy life, he always insists me to have a workout in the morning, or any time of the day.
Can you suggest some effective ways to develop awareness among people about the need of exercise in their day to day life?
The company I currently work for also motivates people to have an active life. We have a small running group, we go for small runs in the weekends and we also participate in running events. We also motivate our friends or colleagues at office to join out in our weekend plan, take them out for a morning walk so that they understand the benefits of getting up early in the morning and enjoying a great life. Once you reach there you can always motivate your family to join…it increases the overall relationship quality in your life.
